From March 27 to April 1, 2017, INCAA (Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales) and CINAIN (Cinemateca y Archivo de la Imagen Nacional), in collaboration with FIAF, Cineteca di Bologna and L’Immagine Ritrovata, have hosted a Film  Preservation & Restoration School to provide film preservation and restoration training to help safeguard Latin American cinematic heritage.
The 44 participants were selected among more than 300 applications, coming from Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, Chile, Cuba, Bolivia and Uruguay.
The 6-days program included 16 theoretical lessons held by film preservation and restoration international experts, as well as 10 practical classes.

The Film Mastering class has been animated by Emanuele Vissani from L’Immagine Ritrovata, using Marquise Technologies’ Mastering system MIST for the demonstrations.
